New LHM+ ?

Post by white exec »

Went into my Citroen dealer this morning for a couple of litres of LHM+.
Instead of the usual green Total 1L bottles, the stock was Citroen "Pro" (used to that, for coolant etc), but in a rather nasty clear rectangular bottle. No great issue (Total using the same bottles), but the fluid inside lacked the usual bright fluorescent green look, and seemed only a bit thicker than water. Even the parts guy was surprised.
Checked my previous stock in the green bottles (about 2 years old, and unopened), where viscosity is closer to 3-in-1 oil/diesel.
Very odd.
The new rectangular bottles were marked Made in France (so presume Total).

Anyone else come across this?

I think in autodoc they still sell the original Total LHM+ bottle.

Even Halfords still sell LHM. It's obviously outrageously expensive per bottle but with a trade card it's not too bad.

Colour or not, I'd know LHM from the smell. I'd also know it from how it feels in the eyes but I'd not go down that route again :D

Hi Graeme!
I just picked up 4x1L from Citroen today - €10.75 a litre, after a 10% discount.
New stuff is less green and slightly less viscous than previous Total green bottles, but prev lot was made in Spain, while today's stuff is made in France, Citroen 'Pro' branded, and same rectangular bottle as Total.
