Under seat electrics confusion

Post by gordie303 »

How many electrics are meant to be under the drivers seat?
There is a mass of wires under mine and includes a control box for a wheelchair winch, an isolator and what looks like connections to a small battery thats been removed.

I'm going to put in a split charge for a leisure battery soon so do I need the isolator?

That all sounds non-standard, you will need to draw a circuit diagram for what's there and take it from there. Are you proposing to connect a leisure battery where the other one was, and then allow it to charge of the alternator?

I'm going to put a leisure battery at the back of the van using an MVM Split Charge Voltage Sensitive Intelligent Relay
