Xantia MK II make year 2000 - MK I Rear suspension strut

Hi

I can buy the rear hydraulic suspension cylinder of Xantia MK I. I checked on Citroen service for my Xantia VIN and I got the following message:

"CORRESPONDANCE PIECES - CORRESPONDENCE PARTS - KORRESPONDENZ TEILE PIEZAS DE CORRESPONDANCIA - CORRISPONDENZA RICAMBI"

What does this message mean ?

Most time when I looks for part number that is not suitable for my car I will get

"Information about the search
0 document(s) found containing XXXXXXX for XANTIA II
Run the search on all vehicle families"

Why there are two different messages for part number that is not direct replacement ?

The part number for my car is 527253 for the left and 527254 for the right one. The part number for the MK I ( the one I can buy ) is 96073507 for both left and right . Does anybody know it the parts are interchangeable ?

My check shows the HYDRAULIC REAR SUSPENSION CYL as NFP for Mk1 & Mk2 cars.

I know that both are NF but I can get the 96073507 from a local grage as it is a dead stock for him. Before I buy it I need to know if the MK I and MK II rear suspension are interchangeable.

The pipe fittings to the rear struts changed a couple of times, so not all versions are compatible (unless you change the pipes at the same time). I don't know the specific dates and versions, but usually Mk1 and late Mk2 are not directly interchangeable.
