Excellent find James, but it does pose the question should we call that a "quadruple site"? :-D

Not sure if this is still blue, but some locations for the cricket world cup in 2019 had pillar boxes painted blue.

Check them out

This one in Nottingham is a double!

I think you may be stretching the "Thread introduction post" here Neil. :-D That is a great picture of a blue double, but does it comply fully with the thread's theme I have to ask myself, with special reference to the highlighted text in that post? Of course, if it does comply, then it is a tremendous bit of foresight on your part, if not I'll leave it to your conscience to decide what to do!! :-D

Alright....it was just included so that others maybe in the vicinity of Nottingham. or passing by it could seek it out and take their own original picture. As stated don't even know if its still blue....the gold ones for the Olympic 2012 winners remain as far as I am aware, but the blue ones may have been temporary for the period of the tournament only.

In deference to your rules I have demoted the interesting photo as a link to click to the page rather than displayed in all its glory on the face of the thread.

I always favour participation over strict on-topicness, and with at times the conversations and threads moving at a snail's pace anything that makes a poster think should I post this or not stems the flow.

Excellent compromise Neil, I certainly don't mean to discourage participation either. Hopefully someone will be in Nottingham soon and be able to restore the box to its full glory with you picking up some finder's points along the way!! :-D

Photoshop :)
I do recall seeing a double post box. The problem is where and when.
I'm leaning towards somewhere like Goathland.
Probable nowhere near of course.

With absolutely no contrition at all I have pinched this picture of Ashbourne's double from Neil's post in the Pennine Cycle Ride thread to place it here where it belongs: (Don't tell him :-D )

An original find in Hereford by Gibbo and posted in POTD so I thought it right to copy it here:
