Hi all
First of all what a terrible day!
I was going to do some diagnostic work today but the weather was terrible and we had power cuts in the area so I will leave that for another day.
I would like to publicly thank Marc for the assistance he gave me last weekend with Diag box trying to get the correct set up for my car not the donor car (myway fitment)
I would like to fit Led (canbus friendly ) side lights to my 2009 C5 and for the life of me I can't even see where they are at the back of the light.
Can someone point me in the right direction for old forum post on the subject or personal experience
I have looked in the manual and the information is not very clear
Thank you
Regards
Steve

Hi Steve.
On your headlamp, it is bulb (14) on the diagram. it is a W5W fitment. I have marked in red circle the area which it should be located.
There are plenty of aftermarket options to choose from. The bulb holder comes out on the wire after a small turn to release, refit, insert and slight turn to lock in.

Re: Led side lights
I put LEDs in mine a few years ago as the tungsten ones were only lasting a few weeks. They were very cheap and are crap and very blue. They are only needed for the MOT and there hasn't been any remarks about them. I never use them on their own and with the headlights lit they are invisible anyway.

Re: Led side lights
Try MAXGTRS store on AliExpress, and look at Cree units.
Warm White (3000-3500K) will look good alongside halogen lights, and will avoid the blue look.
Plenty of W5W to choose from.
For normal sidelight use, don't go brighter than those listed as "20W".

Re: Led side lights
I don't expect to keep this car much longer, not worth the bother.

Re: Led side lights
Thank you gentlemen it all makes sense now!
I have been looking to the rear of the lamp not the top.
The wife has moved the owners manual so I had to find a drawing on the Web but it wasn't clear
Thanks again
