Do Head bolts on 1.4 Berlingo Tu3JP need to be re-torqued

Post by Blazer811 »

Apologies if it comes across as a stupid question, but I’m in the midst of replacing my blown HG and when I bought the gasket today I noticed on my Invoice/Receipt in brackets (re-torque required).

If this is the case, can anyone please advise as too when it needs to be done and to what torque specs. From my understanding the initial torque is 20Nm then 120 degrees + 120 degrees.

So I am perplexed as to how much to re-torque if we are working with degrees.

Can someone please help me understand this.

No, they're stretch bolts, no re-torque required.

Thanks Richard, I have since been in contact with the store that I purchased the HG from and they have advised me that the information regarding re torquing the HG is in fact incorrect.
