Members are kindly requested to check their profiles to see if their email addresses are current and please update these where necessary.

Some of our members have noted that email sent to others on the forum are bouncing back as unrecognised. We appreciate that people change their email providers / addresses over time and don't always remember to update all their Forum / Web accounts.

This is especially important for those members who have kindly offered Lexia services to other members - who may find themselves in a bit of a tight spot and need some urgent help.

At the same time, we will be updating the list of Lexia owners who have offered their services. If you are not currently on the list and wish to offer your services, or are already on the list and wish to be removed, please contact one of the team or post a reply to this announcement.

Many thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Norway calling

Post by fikse »

After had some time without a french car, now Ive just got myself a MY07 C5. Pretty fine car, but not the same refienment in the hydropneumatics as I had on my prevoius Citroens, so Ill sell it to get a newer model with Hydractive 3 plus.
In my time Ive had a few french ones: Peugeout 505 Break. A very practical car with nice comfort and huge space. Unfortunately a sloppy and thirsty 2-liter petrol. A CX 2.5 TRD Turbo 2, who was the perfect tourer with quite nice oomp and a comfort seldom to find on cars today.
Later a brand new MY96 Berlingo van, one of the first sold here in Norway. Simple 68hp diesel that worked surprisingly fine, and the car itself was faultfree and a good ride.
MY 01 Xsara Break 1.6 petrol. Cheapest car ever. High MPG, only some minor faults, and a comfy ride. A little small though, when kids popped out, so I sold it for a brand new MY13 Berlingo, as was a very practical car in all terms, and after replacing the useless 185 14" tyres who was OE, to 225/45-17, it got surprisingly good to apex too. Got some bigger cars like Pajeros later, now my daily rider is a MY06 Focus C-max, who has no comfort, but still a practical and very cheap ride.
Now this C5, who will be sold as soon as some small stuff is fixed and MOT is OK, the looking for a 3-4 year old C5 "Break" with 2-liters diesel and autobox.

Almost 4 years has gone since I bought this one. 2014 CrossTourer (2,0 HDi auto). Only 90.000KM so far, and with some general maintanance its still in pretty good shape.

In the last 4 years Ive just maintained simply with engine and fuel filters, engine oil, brake disk and pads, bulbs,,

Last year I replaced oil in both hydraulic and autogear, brake fluid, all filters, all major bushings in front suspension (with OE parts, nothing fancy).

I also had a major cleanup and protection in paint and interior last summer. 5 stage polishing and 2 stage coating (protection and hydrofob) took me 5 good days, result is jolly good, easy to keep clean and looks pretty good for a soon 10 year old car.

This year its time for timing belt, including water pump, AC clutch, generator freewheel, belt, timing sensor ring. Plus all relevant bushings in rear, then a new alignment.
