how to post phots here

Post by Haych »

i am on a mac pro, but i cannot seem to get it right to allow me to post photo, been on youtube to check my method, and it don't work! I select the "mountain icon above the message box" right click on my image in my photo file , copy the Gif or jpg file info and paste in between the two sets of characters the forum mountain icon generates , and that should work? but not for me even bought a resizing program still no luck...

That looks like the location of the file on your computer. No-one else can see it there but you.

EDIT - you changed the content of your post since I first looked at it!

There are 2 methods but neither are copy and paste as such.

The tags you are referring to as the mountain icons are only for external hyperlinks to somewhere like an image hosting site, not from your PC’s image file location.

It’s always best to attach the photos by uploading them from your Mac or PC using the guide.

Marc, finally made some progress at posting photos ,but when i write the text to describe upcoming photo. The first photo positions correctly. Then i write some more text prior to adding another photo, but this photo jumps position with the other i added first. then if i add a third photo following more text, then this also jumps to another position. Do you how to solve this please, i been messing about since 4 oclock trying to this.

You need to insert text, position the cursor where you want the photo then click the "Place Inline" button, then insert your next piece of text

If you are lucky :roll: there will be a line that says
[attachment=0 ]21064.jpg[ /attachment]

Which you can drag into the position you want if it lands in the wrong place.

Thanks marc, i will give it ago, i took loads of photos today to try and helps others see whats what , so be ashamed if i let myself down and patience with this tech. Its like they say on youtube editing takes ages. By the way Marc, where you able to look at the wiring diagram for the motor fan speed controller ? it would be good to see cct. diag.

Oh flip - when you're done with your photo editing masterclass ( :-D ), you'll have to link me to the thread you posted concerning that, or remind me what is was about - as that was probably 500 posts ago now :oops:

You'll get there in the end :-D
