Still bad starting

Post by qwerty »

Hi .
Tried everything you have told me .Ihave even removed pipes from pre fuel heater and connected pipe from tank to new fuel filter assembly.
I also blanked off injector leak off pipes[do not see why air can get into suction side of fuel system as leak off is on pressure/return side].I fitted on a separate tank with fuel pipe direct to fuel filter which cured problem. I had fitted a clear plastic tube on return to see if air was in fuel system .Iwonder if air can be sucked in through seal behind drive gear on pump[bosch]

From the top of the fuel tank to the hard pipework there are two lengths of fabric covered rubber hose. Have you checked those? Over time they do develop pinholes. Access is through a plastic covered hole under the rear seats.

Removed hard pipe from rubber bend under rear l/h door and put hard pipe direct into temporary tank and still got air passing through see through plastic return pipe.
