Needs some garish green numberplates so the masses realise its an electric car :!: :-D :?: (where :!: :-D :?: =sarcasm....so poorly catered for in the world of emoticons)

Now at last we're down to the really trivial reasons why we have to leave the EU. Take the 12 stars on blue off and put a green patch at the left end instead.

:rant2: Thinking further into the labelling of electric cars, and taking into account modern Health and Safety legislation, I wouldn't be surprised to discover that the law requires owners of electric vehicles to make it clear to any potential users, with or without permission, that high voltages are present and there is a risk to safety if misused. Some sort of "Duty of care" to others, even if they are trying to steal the car, if it is parked in public space!! :rant2:

I'm thinking of going green by purchasing a Bond Bug and replacing the front wheel with a pair of oxon!!!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: green number plates. I would have thought a little emblem of a Duracell bunny on the left hand side would do the same job perfectly

Tesla 3 is available in white (no cost), grey / black / blue (£1k option), red (£2k option!!). So I have seen white, grey and blue - black and red to go. Must be bonus points for a red one, due to the ridiculous option cost. And anyway, we all know red ones are faster!

Interesting. When first launched black was the only no cost colour, all other colours were extra!

A a Leaf driving school car. Never thought about it before, but would passing your test in an electric car really prepare you for driving anything else? I had a vague recollection that old school milk floats had a specific licence class.

That has a certain logic - but I still wonder if it would equip you to drive a conventional auto.

Of course it does. Why wouldn't it ?

There are driving schools that can teach using BEV's - if you sit the test in one you get an Automatic license.

Not a charging buddy but the first appearance on this thread I do believe of this vehicle.

Looked as ordinary as ordinary can be like a slightly fancy Vauxhall astra. Definitely an AUDi, but is this really the e-tron? Definitely electric or hybrid and I do believe on the side the badge is e-tron. The chargers are recently installed at a car park at Whitley Bay and as the notice reads supplied by ElectroMotive of Brighton Sussex.

Funny how these things catch your interest when you have joined the world of electric motoring :-D

Another View of Our Friend the Electric Audi.....looks like you must slide the four rings to the side to reveal the charging socket

Simply because they're too different, in the same way as when I took the 2CV in for an MoT, I had to put it on the rollers & drive it on/off the ramp - & how the 1st time I got behind the wheel of a late Chrysler 300, I just sat & stared at the rotary knob where the shifter ought to be.
