2007 C5 - rear radius arm

Post by peterg »

I recently bought a 2007 HDI C5 as my daily hack and noticed that the rear wheel on the passenger side was at a fairly jaunty camber angle. My research shows that this is likely to be a worn radius arm bearing. I really can't be bothered to tackle this so rang my local garage who say they have some Citroen experience and they said I needed to get a reconditioned whole arm because the arms themselves wear so the commonly available bush and bearing kits aren't enough to fix the problem. I can't see anywhere selling a whole arm....just the kits. Does anyone have any knowledge of this issue?

I haven't heard of the arm wearing but that the tube the bearing fits in can wear out of round.

Bearing kit.

There are a lot of posts dealing with the problem.

This thread has some decent advice in it. Citronut was a mine of information.

Embarrassingly with the car on level ground, both sides are even. Which is obviously a relief!!!

One of my c5 had a wheel at an angle and creaked and groaned over bumps and when raised or lowered. An ex citroen mechanic just replaced the bearing kit and it was fine.
