I'll bet their choice of music doesn't match mine.

When I saw a post above about dog mode, until I looked at the article I wondered if it would be for the car to go very slowly while taking the dog for a walk alongside.

Looks like TESLA have found a new revenue stream

Out of warranty chips at $1800 a shot, (plus labour, plus VAT or the equivalent no doubt).

"Ditch your Car"

Lyft Says Ditch Your Car (and Ride in Ours), Teams with Carvana Used-Car Buying Service

Could be a while before the concept gathers pace and reaches rural Northumberland, but its happening in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago.

I think you have to come to the conclusion that TESLA do not feel the need to make short-term profits for their shareholders, and continue on their development phase of their worldwide investment and expansion, heading for Berlin now. The investors still have confidence as of now.

Bit of a contrast as TESLA moves into Germany, Mercedes struggling to meet emissions targets with 700,000 of their finest vehicles failing to meet the regulations, getting fined, and trying to catch up on electric vehicle development.

Of course Mercedes and its forerunners have turned profits from making automobiles from their inception, while for TELSA is all about investment and expansion and putting themselves in a position to make future profits, and currently convincing investors that strategy will bring them returns.

Mercedes (or VW) will probably pick up Tesla in a fire sale when the financial you know what finally hits the fan.

PSA-FCA could do worse than dig out the drawings for this off the shelf shove a decent sized battery and an electric motor in it and revive the Panhard Brand :-D

Next-gen Corsa will be all-electric, says Vauxhall boss
MD Stephan Norman says next crop of Vauxhall superminis will be fully electric, including the Corsa line

Interesting quote from the Vauxhall boss concerning his view of the tipping point when development of charging infrastructure falls into place

“..it will happen unbelievably quickly. In 2025, no manufacturer will be making petrol or diesel engines.”
Some sceptical reaction in the comments and further down the article he describes the Mokka as the "first sexy Vauxhall for 50 years" so maybe he is a bit prone to over-exaggeration :-D
