Citroen ZX Estate rear axle ......

Well looks like my old car has some sort of niggle going on the rear ns .

Twice in a couple of weeks while turning left or cornering it feels as if I've hit the kurb.... Today it happens again but this time I'm at least 16/18 inches away from the kerb,

There's a bounce off effect like the rear wheel has hit the kerb but as before I knew I didn't , even reversing into a car space it seems like I didn't steer enough but I knew I have..

Any diagrams of the Axel , trailing arms or what's needed to repair this I'd be greatful of help in anyway.
I can still drive the car.
Hard braking there's a knocking from same side and its had new shocks as well.
Bushes ????

Drove yesterday seems normal .
Trying today same bit of road to see what's on that corner.

Neighbor had same happen to him same place ... ????

Yes it may be the bushes which are service items. If it is any worse then axle may need rebuild. Check that rear wheels are not pointing in at the top.

They do but not as bad as others I've seen in the past

If the wheels are cambered in at the top it'll be absolute carnage inside the cross tube, especially if it's knocking.

Expect to have to replace the whole thing rather than rebuild it, I know it sounds extreme but if they are left until they show symptoms rather than rebuilt as a preventative measure it rarely turns out well.

It knocks on one side if you brake hard , I've seen complete rear axles on eBay new I think or just as good refreb all in about a tad under £400 ...

I'm losing everything at the moment looks like next my old faithful , its old but out done every other car I've owned in 30 years.

Unless a new owner wants to buy her I'd not want much just knowing it will live on
