That certainly changed a bit since my time :-D However I wondered what might have happened on that Monday when you took the picture so I looked it up quickly and discovered this rather dull information:

It was Monday, under the sign of Gemini (see birth chart on May 26, 2003). The US president was George W. Bush (Republican). In that special week of May people in US were listening to 21 Questions by 50 Cent. In UK Ignition Remix by R Kelly was in the top 5 hits. I'll Be There, directed by Craig Ferguson, was one of the most viewed movies released in 2003 while Krakatoa by Simon Winchester was one of the best selling books. On TV people were watching Monster House. If you liked videogames you were probably playing Disney Princess: Magical Dress-Up or Conspiracies.

I wonder what the engineers would do if that one started going tick tock tick --- tock tick tock --- tick tock tick etc........ :-D

Have a Hyundai-semi

The current fleet of HGV's pounding the roads of the UK is a pale comparison of what they used to be.

But we cant go back to the days of black smoke and noise, so maybe we should go forward to this.....

They certainly look futuristic and train like. Another product of CAD I guess!! However if they do the job and reduce transport costs I'm sure they'll be a success. Not sure how I might feel when I see a 'train' in my rear view mirror though! :-D

Unusual Steve and in my book unusual is good!

Now Attenborough is probably the undisputed king of the nature programme, but even Autumn watch can occasionally come up with some fascinating little gems. Like the flourescent sea anenomes pictured here, and the bit on the same programme which took the inaudible calls of a bat, which when taken down a couple of octaves, and slowed down revealed calls like birdsong.

If we had a different set of senses and sensors, we would perceive the world and the universe in a very different way.

Indeed we would Neil, if we had Steve Austin's bionic eye with a supreme flicker rate detection, watching the rain in the puddles would be pretty scary:

If anyone fancies giving the grey matter a work out I will tell you this is a 1930's American car, from a firm more well known for their utility vehicles. There that should be enough.
