Citroen C5 2015

Post by Milorad »

Many greetings fellow Citroen owners, I am in a bit of a pickle as of recently. I have had a minor incident with my beautiful machine and have damaged my bumper. What I would like to know is how does one take off some of the bumper components?

Based on this image that was provided by another user of this forum, number 14 is what I need to change. (Along with the hood of the car but I'll leave that for somebody else to fix!)
Many thanks

Number 14 is the chevron badge. It is unclipped from inside the bumper, once that has come off.

So what would be the course of action? take off the entire bumper first and then remove the badge? ( I am not quite skilled when it comes to things like this but willing to learn)

The front mud guard arches have to come off, then the top bumper and you'll need a special tool or make one up to turn the bumper fixing screws ¼ of a turn:

There's a lot more to it and you may need to remove the headlamps and bonnet release cable to get to some of the fixings, and a load of trim before getting access to the inside areas to release the top part to get to the trim off.

If you're getting the bonnet fixed, I suggest you leave it to them as they should have the tools handy to do this part.

You can also remove part no 4 on top of the bumper. I just did this when I installed led bar flush mounted in the upper grill no 21.

Toolkit like this is very handy:
