Tire Pressure

Unread post by xlee11 »

I was told ideally, tire pressure should be measured when tires are cold—that is when I have driven less than a mile. Otherwise, the tires may have heated up, increasing the inflation pressure inside them by several pounds. What is the correct air pressure for my tires? related to temperature? Many Thanks

Your tyre pressures should be on the centre pillar (usually driver side) seen when you open the door. We can't tell you what they are as vehicles can be fitted with different tyre sizes. Just check the tyres at your nearest garage, or buy an electric inflator that you can plug into the car's cigarette lighter and check them at home when cold.

I just came across a post the other day about tire pressure. it helps. The tire pressure in cold weather decreases by a few psi. :) The pavement cools your tires and the air inside it.
