Yes it can be replaced or maybe it can be repaired.
You really need to identify exactly where the leak is, there are several hydraulic components and pipes in that general vicinity.

thanks
I had the car up on the ramps at Citroen specialist and the leak appeared to be coming from within the valve itself , something about two metals within the valve reacting causing a corrosion , the eloctrovalve it is a no longer available part and I was asked to try to locate one .
Apparently it is an Activa specific valve .

Re: xantia activa leak
If it is the electrovalve which appears to be leaking, it could be from the small "leak back" (fluid return) snout on the EV. This should only be allowing tiny and intermittent amounts of fluid to emerge each time the valve operates, but if the internal spring is weak and the rubber connector on the snout is split, this could show up as "a leak from the valve". Both readily fixable.
Just one possibility..
Maybe clean up and dry off the affected area, and post a photo of the leak?

That is my bet looking at the surface corrosion on the other items under there.

OP said the pic was not of his car, Alasdair, but just to illustrate area . . . so hopefully not so much rust!

It would appear that unless I come up with a part the the garage can do no more , I may take better pic . but it is such an awkward place , even when ramped up .
