So I thought

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

I'd sell the temporary Corsa but before I do I'd put right the only fault it has, the aftermarket JVC audio, the radio works but the CD doesn't.

Acquired an original Blaupunkt Corsa set on Ebay, it came quickly, job for today...…….yeah!

The wiring connectors including the antenna are all different to what's in there and I can't find any to match :x Any suggestions?

This is the back of the set.

Check to see if there isn’t an aftermarket harness connecting the vehicle audio harness to the aftermarket job. It’s likely there would need to be in order to hook it up to the vehicles harness. Remove it and the original head unit should connect to the quad lock connector.

Already done that Marc, with the additional harness out it still isn't a match, I'm guessing Vauxhall/Opel had a variety of head units with different wiring.

It's not only the French who muck us about.

My local radio man has popped his clogs or it wouldn't have been a problem.

The main plugs will fit in the sockets but the hooks that should hold them in place aren't there so they just pop out again and the antenna socket is something I've never had the pleasure of before.

Tomorrow's job now.

Eric.

Ok, so sounds like you’ll need to get a quad lock connector to hold the multi plugs in place and then attach the quad lock to the back of the unit. The aerial adapter should be pretty common though.
