Have to say that Track "More" from "The World of Mantovani" quite a well known easy-listening tune, I find out came from the soundtrack of an truly repulsive Italian Movie of 1962 called Mondo Cane.
from wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/More_(The ... ondo_Cane)
"Ti Guarderò Nel Cuore", later released under the international title "More", is a film score song written by Riz Ortolani and Nino Oliviero for the 1962 Italian documentary film Mondo Cane."
Wiki often does a decent job of documenting the various artists who have covered the piece of music or song.

So from the list I have picked out this simply because I read that the melody was played on an Ondioline by Jean-Jacques Perrey. We like an unusual instrument at the Pickled Egg! Unfortunately I haven't hit the bullseye. Dont like it at all!!

Well I am told by Wiki that a related instrument, the clavioline is an electronic keyboard instrument, a forerunner to the analog synthesizer. It was invented by French engineer Constant Martin in 1947 in Versailles

Its most famous appearances are on TELSTAR, and on a Beatles track on Magical Mystery Tour called Baby, your a rich man" where it is played by John Lennon. But for the illustration I am going for the Barry Gray and the theme tune for Fireball XL5.

Electronic instruments and SciFi themes can only ever lead me to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop's finest and probably most famous work. Produced by electronic oscillators, amplifiers and wave generators, then edited by the magicians in Maida Vale using tape and splicing techniques we were treated to:

Please don't ex-ter-min-ate me for this!! :-D :-D :-D

After listening to a bit Middle of the Road (Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep, and Soley Soley) excuse me but this popped up.

..and with due respect to others opinions this is at least number 2 of Status Quo's best introductions and having refreshed my memory very probably number 1 :-D

Turn it up!

The Moog's younger brother, the MiniMoog makes an appearance in this, along with a late 70s Korg MS20, a 70s Rhodes piano, a Wurlitzer, and a bit of a rarity - a Solina String Synthesizer :)

Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

I was looking for a bit of Roger Dean's artwork so delved into a bit of Yes and reaquainted myself with "Roundabout". Quite an iconic song.....and made it into the top 20 intros.

Can you hear a bit of "aha aha ha I'm just a love machine" (The Miracles) in it?
