C5 X7 - a couple of things.

Unread post by Peter.N. »

My new X7 is still giving me a lovely ride but I am beginning to notice a few minor defects. Firstly the dimming interior mirror doesn't appear to be, the light is on but I still get blinded by idiots with misaligned headlights.

Secondly the throttle response is very sensitive, its quite easy to do a kangaroo start with it it - although it might also be that the clutch is a bit fierce. Is there any adjustment?

Thanks

No adjustment - Hydraulic clutch on these.
As for the mirror you do have the electrochromed version, so as long as the it is on Auto with the green light will adjust according to the amount of light hitting it - but like anything it can only do so much.

Sorry, I didn't mean adjustment for the clutch, i meant the mirror. It doesn't seem to be doing anything at all, I wondered if it was adjustable via Lexia.

Check that the sensors on the front and back are clean. Nothing is adjustable to my knowledge - just replaceable.
