In that case, unlikely to be heat-related, so probably a bug in the software causing it to restart. Contact the dealer and enquire as to whether there is a firmware update - tell them it has been restarting on relatively short distances.

It may take some time for feedback to come in globally from customers; the research from the collation of faults, culminating in a firmware update being released. So it may take a little while before an update is tested and released - so keep checking - but do tell the dealer if it's under warranty as they will diagnose it and see if there is a fault reported and fill in a quality report usually. If there is not fault logged, they may just tell you to ignore it or that they can't find a problem - only when they get enough issues does it sometimes result in a technical service bulletin - where the technicians are then aware of a specific fault code or reported problem.

We can't say that here - and to be honest there is no hard and fast rule as to when / if they make a major change. It probably depends on market share, sales figures. feedback, technical issues and such like as to when and if they decide to update a model.

Your dealer isn't going to tell you that either most likely, because they want to sell current stock sitting on the beaches in France!

All the cars are made in Mulhouse in France (apart from the ones in China). So they queue them up there for export.

Wed don't have a 'business addition' here in the UK - we have the Performance Lin, Prestige & Ultra Prestige.

There is currently no 'Grip Control' option I can see, but most of the newer models all have advances ESP and traction control anyway.

The official version is that they removed grip control to reduce a few kilogrammes of co2 (also removed the mus/snow tires). Isn't it a disadvantage to remove it?I think the reason is cost reduction and not for co2.

I can't really see that as an excuse to be honest - any sort of traction control is controlled electronically, mechanically, hydraulically - and only when needed - much like a standard ABS / ESP / ASR system/ It is only activated when the vehicle is in danger of skidding or over / understeering. The Snow Motion feature on the C5 X7 was only an enhanced ESP version to be honest.

As for the tyres - most only put winter tyres on when needed. I use Michelin Easy Grip snow chains - which are fantastic when we have snow - they allow me to go up steep hills with ease int he snow.

So it's not considered wrong / foul / disadvantage or removal? I ask why until now the company has been presenting it - as has Pegeuot in his rival 3008/ "brother" as an asset.

That's life I'm afraid - all manufacturers reserve the right to modify features - and frequently do.

Take the earlier C5 X7 - top specification / option pack had heated, foldable, electrochromed indexable outside mirrors that indexed to a set position in reverse gear on both left and right mirrors.

Soon after the European Union decided that cars were no longer able to keep these under the mirror classification category - because they said that when the mirrors indexed down so the driver could see the kerb, they also said a driver could not then see if a person or child walked behind the car! Even though all the vehicles with this option would have had rear parking sensors too! So Citroen rolled out BSI software updates to disable this function - and removed it from later models! Totally stupid.

This made a lot of owners angry as they paid for this option and without consent, could have it disabled by a software update at the next service!

I would say that there is a lot of new tech on these - and to be honest, I would be waiting a few years before buying one - to let the bugs get sorted and all the issues. Then save a few Drachma (sorry, Euros) :-D by picking up one on the secondhand nearly new market. You would probably save a lot as resale values are likely to be poor - good news for buyers though.
