That link took me to a discussion on Bagatelle? Am I being thick?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: How many miles in August
Very strange, it definitely takes me direct to the bagatelle discussion in The Pickled Egg games thread. When I click on your picture and then on the play arrow I am back to the freeze problem which I get when trying to access the PE jukebox directly. I am clearly not worthy of accessing the jukebox for fear of my corrupting it with my musical tastes

TRy this link...it should take you to Kate Bush Doing Rocket Man! If it ends up at the bagatelle discussion again there are gremlins in the machine!

misdirected links
Neil and I are having issues with the same link taking us to different places. Please look at tonight's exchange in "How many miles in August" for an actual description of what is happening. I should mention that I have never been able to access the Jukebox thread at all. My screen just freezes when I try so there may be a problem with my browser IE10 or DDG. Cheers Mick

This is where I go from that link. I don't know how to get a screenshot so I have copied and pasted and hence the weird layout.:

Re: misdirected links
For Neil: Where did you get the link that you have pasted into the post below? Be as specific as you can.
If you now go to the place where you copied the link from, and hover or click on the link there, is the url:
or is the start= number different?

I have manually corrected the link in that post, and I may need to make a general fix, but don't know where the link came from.NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 20:33Your faint recollection is right, but I chose this version for my submission.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 20:23 I didn't know BB had written the music for 3 Wheels on my Wagon but I have a faint recollection of Dick van Dyke singing it?

Re: misdirected links
Mike, here is a screen print from the relevant page with me hovering the cursor over the heading of the relevant post. To put a link in any of my posts to another forum post I right click and select copy link location then post the link into my post.
For me the links work as normal, and display as I would expect them to display.
On occasions the post I want to link too may be found by a forum search query or from the "your posts tab" but the method is always the same right click on the header of the post, copy link location, post into thread.
One specific anomaly of the PE Jukebox thread, is that for say "a selections on a theme" session, the title of the thread on page 1 is changed from The Pickled Egg Jukebox-your selections please" to for example "PE Jukebox-Native American Special" to gather participation on that theme, and then gets changed back.
This seems to work OK, but might concievably be at the root of MIcks problems with that particular thread.
Here is the screen print form my link. As it happens I also use duckduckgo trying it out following a post by Mick.
regards Neil
