What size brake discs were on my Relay when it left the factory?

Post by LittleOldSuzi »

I need to change the front discs and pads on a 06/2014 registered Relay, pre facelift.

ECP list about 6 versions and the only one that has the same dimensions to the discs on my van is listed as facelift but my van is pre facelift by a month or 2. Was there a cross over when the new brakes were fitted to the old vans? Has someone previously fitted the wrong discs? How can I find out?

Thanks

We'll need the VIN for the Relay if you want accurate parts info.

Hi Marc,

VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] If you can look it up that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

service.Citroen says

01

4249 K2

02
VENTILATED BRAKE DISC
DIAM 280 EP 28

It doesn't appear to specify the make of the calipers, I would check the shape of the pads before ordering if there are choices!

Thanks for looking that up.

I googled the dimensions on those discs and someone has put the wrong discs on, hopefully that explains to uneven pad wear issue as well because the slider pins are moving freely. Just so I can reset this to factory does it give a part number/code for what pads should be on?

Thanks again...

Update

Just a bit of info for anyone else trying to figure this out. There are many different discs on these vans and you can fit the wrong ones, but only 2 different pads are fitted and unlike the unlike the discs the wrong ones do not fit. The pads are either 62mm or 69mm tall so easy to tell apart.

Good luck all....
