A trader here in the village has a Cowley version of that in his workshop, the Cowley was the basic model with a smaller engine than the Oxford and all the goodies trimmed off to get the price down.

My brother Gordon worked there for a few years before moving on to Leyland Daf, (LDV) he's not with us any more so can't ask about it.

definitely with you on the yellow, Neil, Page 1 of this Thread; but not so on the Audi Coupe, I rather like the pink.

When I bought my 405, I specifically wanted a white one, and only realised later that actually the cherry red suits them better.

↑ Almond yellow. OK, but not with that vinyl roof and upholstery.
What an appalling combination!

I really like this colour not many BRG cars around any more. I still think about my MK3 Cortina 2000E tan vinyl over BRG :(

There was a down on green cars - some even thought them unlucky - some decades ago.
Didn't stop Stags and Dolomites looking splendid in BRG, although the colour didn't suit some others.
P6 was a good example, where the colour would just have looked very odd. Instead, Rover went for an interesting selection of subtle colours, including Lunar Grey (a grey-green), Tobacco Leaf, and some brighter ones like Almond (above) and Monza Red. There was a green (Cameron), but a deep pine.

Mucky colours reached a peak with the Twingo, which included some very odd mauves, a drap grey, and a baby-poo brown iirc. There as also a very odd metallic, called Harvest Gold; it defied description, but Neil might be able to unearth a piccy.

Always fancied respraying one of our P6s in Army Staff Green (like the Austin 3-Litres for the military), but never did.

We have quite a comprehensive list of colours for the twingo but no literal translation of harvest gold.

This is Jaune Indien from 1993....and a truly awful image to accompany it.

Straw Yellow (Jaune Paille) close enough

Now have you got any pictures of it lying about, well worthy of an appearance in this thread.
