Drive seal

Post by Edhertz »

Looks like I have a worn compressor drive shaft seal on the Xantia (evidence oil below clutch and loss of refrigerant). Has anyone done a DIY job and replaced the seal? Not sure but believe it is a sanden compressor. Thanks in advance.

I don't think that a compressor shaft seal is realistically a DIY job. I would say that fitting another compressor (even a second-hand one) is more likely to be successful.

Thanks for reply. Looks like I'll be going for a used compressor. Don't know what I want till I get it off,
Cheers
