its not an SUV, I know, but its so outrageously ugly, I just had to photograph it and put the post here.

I checked the bootlid to identify it: Renault Zoe. If the number plate was above the grille it wouldn't be so bad.

...d'you think it was was scowling at me (I was parked immediately opposite)?! :)

(the brown Renault to the left of it is little better!)

I quite like the Camry, not bothered about the electric stuff on it though.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

I-spy an Ugly SUV

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Steve posted this up on the classics thread...
myglaren wrote: 14 May 2019, 21:29 Speaking of which I was reminded of the "ugly people carriers" thread that I can't seem to find, probably because it wasn't called that at all.

Rolls Royce Cullinan

£380,000

Bentley Bentyaga <£130,000

I thought the names were a joke until I saw the cars and prices.
The whole thing is a joke, a really bad one.

You would think that for that sort of money they could make them look at least half decent.

Horrible, but perhaps fairer to say 'Fashions change.... but I haven't'.

I've not yet turned 50, feel like I've got a very old attitude sometimes.

Agreed!
I prefer cars to look like cars - for me the epitome was/is the CX Prestige. If only I dared to buy one :(

superb taste! :-D Would be somewhere very close to the top of my list of 'Toys' if I had the space and money.

A red CX 25 GTi features in a back issue (May 2014) of Practical Classics I acquired second-hand recently. If anyone's got a use for about ten such back issues, am happy to send them on for postage cost only.

I'm also booked at upcoming shows PSCUK at Prescott and Festival of the Unexceptional at MK, if anyone wants to pick them up there. Too good to throw away / recycle.

NB: talking of PC, I notice that of the Staff Cars that I checked, mostly dating from 2013, only about 1:4 show as MOT'd on the DVLA Database. I hope this means they're gathering dust rather than Bean tins.

Always thought I should like CX's but could never really make up my mind. Had a lift in one a few years ago (a recently restored Prestige - so a nice example) & was seriously underwhelmed. Finally got to drive one a couple of years ago, albeit only for a few miles, &, nah, not for me - shame!

Little and Large
Cute and Ugly

Just imagine driving the little one along a twisty up and down country road at night, with the large one and its searchlights driving behind you....

I've seen a few Kia Niro recently (not electric ones) - they're, er, a bit challenging on the eye!

How big is a Ford Fiesta, or how small is a TR6

The ugly SUV has moved but this is a nice little image of parking in ascending order of size! :-D
