It's a nothing no start but I've just noticed it's telling me 'economy mode active.' on the info screen.

Someone will be along to help Gibbo from the FCF fifth emergency service. I just read about these C5's and their little foibles. The battery connect/disconnect dance will no doubt be mentioned and while you may not have forgotten your keys, the daft computa may have :-D

Regards Neil

PS from what I have read the eco mode wouldn't prevent you from starting the car and it will disappear when the car is started. :-D

Is it only the EML or the immobiliser lockout?
I managed to invoke an immobiliser lockout when I was less that careful reconnecting my battery one morning, naturally just before needing to leave for work. Had to take a bus and fix when I got home but there was no problem when following the procedure properly.

As Neil says, Eco mode won't inhibit starting, just stops you turning on any electrical accessories.

You need to look in the live data. When switched on does it say the ECU is unlocked? When you crank it does it say cam and crank are synched? What cranking speed is it showing? What pressure does the fuel get up to?

My problem Richard is that I'm not yet learned enough to use the WoW Snooper to its full advantage, only at the moment able to run the diagnostic scan and clear the codes... I'm not even sure that it's up to the Citroen stuff and I haven't got a working Lexia3.

I can't of course follow the BSI reset list properly because I can't wind the driver's window down with it in eco mode.

I will persevere after dinner.

I got my neighbour's grandson to loan me his Snap-on Modus diagnosis tool, seems there is zero pressure at the fuel regulator. every thing else checks out ok.

Time ran out so another job another day.

It's rare, but not unknown, for these to shear the drive dog on the end of the camshaft for the hp pump....

I've seen one of those in the past, hope it's not that.

I've popped the pressure sensor connection off and checked the voltage with the ignition switched on, it has 5v at the two outside terminals and ground in the middle, anyone know if that's what it should be?

Can't understand the zero pressure, I'd expect at least a few bar to register.

Is it still nothing no start.

Or is it cranking with no fuel delivery?
