I decided the old Dell laptop with Windows 7 wasn't up to scratch for the WOW Snooper updates so I found a new/second hand one with i5 cpu. It's due tomorrow.
Decided to look around for info on how to move WOW from the old Win7 to the new Win10. what a headache that appears to be.
But I came across this, entertaining and informative in a pained way. I guess many of us have been down the same road.

Re: Bought a better laptop.
I'm going the other way Gibbo. The Op-Com, unofficial, but widely used scanning software for Vauxhall is most stable on a Windows 7 platform. I have "borrowed" a surplus to requirements old laptop should I decide to go for it. The Op-Com is about £30 odd, so its going to be cheaper than asking a garage to do a forced regen for me.
I have a DPF regeneration to sort out on the VEctra. All parts of the Regen System need to be working correctly for "the Car" to carry out a successful regen. I have corrected one element, and the downstream temperature sensor has a ridiculously high resistance value (the upstream sensor is 220 ohms), so it is likely that the wiring/sensor may be fault and the cause of the regen problem. Only other thing is the differential pressure sensor and iits rubber hoses and pipework, straightforward enough to check for leaks.
Regards Neil

Re: Bought a better laptop.
I have an interest in WOW Snooper apparently it's difficult to install, is this correct? Some of the ones I looked at were based in china they were offering to do the setup via teamviewer not sure I'd be comfortable with that.

I were confusticated! When you mentioned WOW I immediately thought World Of Warcraft and lost interest (don't do games).
But then wondered where the snooper might be connected. Now it makes (more) sense

A guy that does work for me has it, he refuses to let me play with it but he seems to get a lot of use out of it.

Re: Bought a better laptop.
I bought it (The VCI and software) off Jim at easydiagnostics, he set it up for me on my old Dell laptop via Teamviewer.
It is version 500.12 and is now offering an update to 500.26 but says the old Dell isn't up to it and it needs at least an i3 cpu hence the i5 laptop purchase.
The update looks to be substantial but we'll see.

The internet has the same confusion, looking for anything about it always brings up long lists of game stuff, like you I have no interest in games.

I don't think he means that teamware is the issue - it's the potential Chinese hacker at the other end he's probably more concerned about!Gibbo2286 wrote: ↑23 Jul 2019, 16:23 I bought it (The VCI and software) off Jim at easydiagnostics, he set it up for me on my old Dell laptop via Teamviewer.
