Historic mapping

Post by Gibbo2286 »

I've used this a few times and found it very interesting, maybe others will too.

Put your address (or any other) in the search box then hover your pointer over the blue dot on the left and move it back and forth.

Nice. Thanks.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

You obviously have to be a lot smarter than me to get anything out of this at all. But, hey, I like going places, not looking at them on a map or pictures of them. Horses for courses.

At least there's no conspiracy theories about old maps. Unless you think the world is flat of course...

The world is clearly flat. You cannot prove to me that it isn't. You can show me pictures, but they are clearly fakes!

I do wish you hadn't posted this link. I'm spending far too much time on the computer looking at the different maps. But to be honest - Thanks. :) It's a great find.

I took a look at some of the locations where I lived in Birmingham, then and now, a lot of those places disappeared with the 1960s slum clearances so it's interesting to compare.
