What noise would you chose?

Post by Sloppysod »

As per the new item the other day all electric vehicles from 2021 have to emit the sound of a normal combustion engine, so when you buy new new Peugeot e-208, can you chose the engine sound, if so what about.........

Given in, tried to start video at 7 sec and end after 10 but couldn't - there's gotta be a way!!

For me, it'd have to be the noise Hong Kong Phooey's Phooeymobile made :-D

Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

Obvs innit.

How about the noise the 'chemistry set' from "The Man in the White Suit" made? Musical, nice, and weird.

Thanks Neil.

Just so long as it goes quiet when the 'Start/Stop' button is pressed, and not the usual result when it was pressed (necessitating the need for a lot of sandbags!).

Hmmmm, what exactly is a "normal combustion engine"? petrol, diesel, how many cylinders, in what configuration, what vintage, or nationality, does it even have to be automotive?

Of course, I'll guarantee it's only a matter of time before, like ringtones, you'll be able to download the one of your choice.

Then again, in probably no more than 30 years time, new owners (who'll have never heard the real thing) will be asking why their new car has to make this strange noise.
