HP24W Daytime Running Light on C5-X7

I've spent the afternoon replacing one of the HP24 DRLs on my C5 and it doesn't get any easier even with practice so maybe it's time to change to LED bulbs. Has anyone a recommendation for suitable replacements as far as value, length of service of the bulbs is concerned. Also are the replacement bulbs polarity conscious?

Yes, been here done that and mine have been good for the last few years without issue.

Oops, probably should of checked that, but yes they seem the same spec. John. The pins may need gentle coaxing and may need to be trimmed, and you’ll need to reuse the housing of your old bulbs, so keep them. You need to carefully dismantle the bulb from the holder and I had to trim the inside lugs to get a snug fit, as you want them to stay in place.

I honestly can’t remember about the polarity now but they won’t work if they are not turned correctly on refitting the holder to make contact.
