I need to change the front corner spheres, do I have to bleed the brakes after?
I'm hoping not!
It's a 2000 Xantia HDI (90) - 6 sphere model I believe.
Changing front spheres on Xantia, do brakes have to be bled?

Re: Do I have to bleed brakes after changing front spheres?
I am guessing that it is a Xantia. Depending on specification, it will have 6 or 8 spheres.
You should always bleed at least the rear brakes after changing the rear spheres, as the rear brake circuit is interconnected with the rear suspension, and any air that gets into the rear suspension circuit seems to end up in the brake lines..

When I had Xantias in the past I had a very simple rule. If I did ANY work on the hydraulics I bled all of the brakes afterwards, to be certain there was no air in the circuits.

Sorry yes it's a Xantia hatchback 2.0 HDI 90.
If I can get away without bleeding brakes when changing the FRONT corner spheres then great, it means I can probably do it after work and drive the car again.

Re: Changing front spheres on Xantia, do brakes have to be bled?
The front suspension is not directly connected to the brakes, so bleeding is not such an issue.
