Could anyone please tell me if my car has a metallic windscreen?
In my Mk i and Mk ii there is an area behind the rear view mirror where one can fix a toll tag onto and it's not affected by the metal laminate in the glass. The area is visible as there are numerous "black dots" highlighting its location.
However in my mk iii there is no such area... will the tag still work?

No metallic screen in the Mk3. Tags can go almost anywhere.
