A morning of 'white' yesterday. While out shopping in Torre del Mar, within half an hour...
- a pristine white 848cc Mini Moke, made in Portugal (was able to chat to the owner)
- a white BX (only see two or three BXs a year now)
- a white Mehari (they're usually yellow, here) whisking along with four on board
Wonderful.

Re: Spotted...
Do you ever see estates over there now Chris? We haven't been for 10 years or so and did see a couple of XM estates but very few of any sort. BX's with trailers seemed to be the load carriers of choice.

Sorry, this was France not Spain.

Re: Spotted...
See no XMs here now, except one: a black 2.5 estate, looks to be Dutch owned, and shown (on the Citroen Origins site) as being in Arenas, about 8km from here. Trying to find its exact location.
Local Citroen dealer/workshop knows of no others except ours, but does work on the odd CX, and a good few of the hundreds of C15s still in daily use.
The few BXs we see are all saloons, often base models, and usually tatty. One white one is a work car for an engineer, and regularly travels around Velez-Malaga at warp speeds, suspension obviously looked after.
Xantia now getting quite rare. The tatty ones have died, good few a result of suspension neglect/ignorance and eventual bonnet-piercing. We see perhaps a dozen a year in reasonable condition.
Nothing rusts here, which makes the situation different to northern Europe, but the sun can play havoc with lacquer and some plastics.
In France last Christmas (near Bordeaux-Charente) we saw just one XM (black estate, towing) and only a tiny number of Xantia and BX. On the other hand, Mk1 Renault Twingos were everywhere.
XM runnng in UK now around 200, with 600+ on SORN, Paul recently posted.

Q4 figures for UK:
XM 221 Licenced / 635 SORN
BX 296 / 1126 (no break down of estates)
Xantia 1277 / 2479
C15 1620 / 1789 - they are holding up well, given the peak was only 25,619 in 1997
My own niches:
Visa 20 / 94 of which convertibles make up 3 / 9
1929 Velocette 20 / 3 - which doesn't include mine, as it is neither SORN nor licenced. Yet
