Taken from the far side of the car, through the window. Just really like how the effect came out - especially in black and white.

This one has an unusual rev counter.
Its from this restoration blog here with the caption

"I got a hold of a set of gauges with the speedo in MPH. I wouldn't normally install this as I live in Poland and we use KPH, but since it is such a rare item I think maybe it adds to the cool factor a little. I also had a new tach to match, and I mounted it sideways - they used to do this in OBRSO - the part of the FSO factory that prepared the Polonezes for group B."

They were somewhat brave. At one point during the flight Brown had to climb out of the cockpit to clean the ice off one of the gauges (he is supposed to have climbed out to clear the ice off the carburettors, but he did not mention this).

Day out today mooching around the Scottish Borders. Loads of people taking pics at Carter Bar at the border point, but I reckon I am the only one to have bothered photographing the tarmac on a B road in Northumberland :-D
An image of smooth new tarmac, and bright white lines, contrasting with vivid green vegetation and leading the eye inexorably to the vanishing point in the composition.

When Tarmacing a small driveway, or footpath is expensive enough it must cost an absolute fortune to keep these country roads going. Lovely new surface and white lines though.

Not sure if these qualify for Pictures of the Day, but there was a demonstration of how to turn a normal Citroen C3 into a C3 Pluriel at the Amberley Museum today. The conversion took about 25 minutes with full commentary given throughout :-D

First assess the work ahead. Put the kettle on.

Make sure the doors will open properly. All the way.

Make sure you can see clear ahead.... by removing the windscreen, with a pair of thatcher's shears.
Clear your windscreen, guv ? - own work.

Won't be needing the 'B' pillar on this conversion.

That didn't hurt.

Last cut on the 'A' pillar.

Et voila : 1 C3 Pluriel.

The cast. I believe that's Barney McGrew standing far right :-D

The aftermath. Rather surprisingly, that C3 had only done 46667 miles when last MOTd in September 2017.

Nice pics Bobins the Dutton Surf caught my curiosity. Wouldn't have thought there was enough demand for amphibious vehicles to sustain a business but looks like Dutton have been making amphibious cars for 30 years, and cars for 50 years :-D

Are you going for a no-expense spared restoration or for a bit of bargain basement motoring? (and yes the FCF has a thread for that!)

Correct! SEven Seater SUV...what the world is crying out for!

The Americans love a pick up...Skoda have "teased" the Mountiaq bit of a pick-uppy thing based on the Kodiaq

Skoda do sometimes use animal names (even if they are not sure of the spelling!), even including potentially mythical ones. The Skoda Yeti is the one I was thinking of.
