Not nice!

Post by Gibbo2286 »

Taking an old friend to get her pension yesterday had to brake quite hard to avoid a young pheasant/partridge (Must look that up) waddling into my path.

Pulling away again the car bounced along like the suspension was completely absent, by now at a busy crossroad had to continue a bit further before stopping.

Had a think then asked the old girl "Did you put your hand on there?" pointing to the high-low button, "I might have." she replied.

Sat for a while doing Citrobics then set off again, all back to normal. #-o

Doesn't yours flag up a warning when it is in low, and return to normal when you start to move?

Yes, it will do - but if in high (max. speed 6 MPH), probably took a while to get to the speed limit and a little longer to lower again, - but if it was accidentally only in intermediate height (max speed 25 MPH) it would of been enough to give a bumpy ride until it lowered again back to normal.

I think that hard braking must have done some mischief to my suspension, went out in the car this morning and it's gone hard again, the front won't come down unless it's dropped right to the bottom setting, set it back to ok and the front is again too high.
And it's peeing down with rain out there.

My thoughts too, I wonder if the dog bone has popped off or broken but it's too wet to get under and look at the moment.

Finally got to have a look at this, nothing broken and it seems to have settled back to normal without any intervention, I've driven it sixty miles or so.

Whilst out there I decided to run a diagnosis with the WoW Snooper, all ok except for two codes P1351 Pre-post heating relay control circuit fault/not connected, which I'm told is usually best ignored and P2408 Diesel additive system defect filler cap sensor or additive level error.
