Re: Dispatch 2.0 2010 Camper conversion Misfire
Thanks guys, I really do appreciate the help and advice. I know its easy to say thank you, but as a couple of oldies who have just sunk a lot of money into our little camper I was really panicking!! I will keep with a decent fuel supply and maintain the system with Wynns as per their instructions and hope that after a short while, the issue will reduce even further and finally be a thing of the past. We often frequent Christchurch in Dorset and it really is a beautiful part of the country. Cheers

Christchurch is ok , Mike T seems to like it but Poole is a much more upmarket area of Dorset
We both have Lexia, Mike is more competent than me but if you are down our way happy to plug it in and see what happens

I'm sure Poole is very nice place and as we have never visited it, we now have reason too. I will pop up a message if we are heading down in hour direction......

Something to remember is that the 2.0HDi engine is really good at distance cruising. I don't know what the economy will be like with your setup, but I would not be surprised if it got better then 50MPG at motorway speeds. Around town it will not be so good, but I doubt you will use her for that.

Re: Dispatch 2.0 2010 Camper conversion Misfire
Third longish run, 99 miles, and I honestly think we are maybe getting to a place where I am happier with the van. Only one splutter on my journey and I am still keeping up with the cleaner. The Citroen car centre have advised that I keep with the cleaning and ensure that I run the van at least once a week to ensure that it gets to work properly. The fuel filter and air filter will be changed on Thursday and then carry on regardless. The EGR valve was discussed but the chap does not think this is the problem, but if it continues to misfire he will have it in and see if he can do what the main dealers cant. Onwards and upwards and just keep going. Cheers & Beers

Just like to say that forum member came round to mine and used Lexia to diagnose my problem. Very impressive stuff that Lexia. I doubt most garages have it and rely on fault codes from OBD2 readers. But Lexia shows everything in real time. You can actually read the the performance of individual components in the system. Well worth having it done.

Managed to get the fuel and air filters changed this week and the chap who did them stated that the fuel bowl was pretty clean but there was a little dirt in the filter. I have not had a chance to fully run it yet but I will make time this weekend for another run out. Fingers crossed things will slowly get better

Just get out there and have fun with it. It’s why you bought it so don’t let a few problems ruin it all.

That is exactly what we intend to do

Re: Dispatch 2.0 2010 Camper conversion Misfire
I wonder if there is a breather hole for the fuel tank? If there is, I wonder if it has become clogged, so that, as the fuel level drops, there is an increasing vacuum in the tank, resulting in a decreasing fuel pressure from the pump?

Perhaps a clogged strainer on the fuel tank pickup?

Re: Dispatch 2.0 2010 Camper conversion Misfire
In that vein, and not sure whether this could happen on the Dispatch, but plastic tank bottoms have been known to rise up as weight of fuel decreases (or even as a result of vacuum), so restricting the fuel pick-up pipe/filter. Long shot.

As a test, try leaving the filler cap loose, but no so it gets lost!
