deamericanization-assistance required
Final straw..........I need help to deamericanize my google. Never mind Huawei we have already been surreptitiously invaded by the USA and passively accepted it!
Just put "Air Force Motto" into a google search and out comes
I need "Per Ardua ad Astra" to come top of the list!!!! What do I need to do?

Re: deamericanization-assistance required
Errrrm, shouldn't that be deamericanisation?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Re: deamericanization-assistance required
Thanks Steve, I was thinking more about a "settings" type of approach that would cut down the default "America first" search results offerings which proliferate.
Yes put Royal in front of airforce and that works too, but not the general "solution" I am looking for.

You need to put 'Royal' in the search not just 'Air Force'...………..I think.

Simples:
For a quick way, just hit 'Tools' on the right of the menu, then select UK.

Resistere futilis
Resistance is futile - surely the real motto of Facebook.

I have no trouble with faecesbook - but I have no use for, or dealings with, it!
As for Ginger Baker's outfit, putting "Royal" in front will probably take you to the RAAF, as many searches list Ozzy sites after American & before any/everyone else. C'est la vie!

Probably not. The ize suffix is likely correct in most cases, comes from the Greek and is much older. Shakespeare "ized" words. I get cross with my UK English spell checker telling me its is wrong. Fowler's Modern English Usage will tell you all. The ise suffix applies to a few words mainly of French origin, but for the last few decades we have been sloppy and used it universally. For once, and it pains me to say it, the American English version is the one to use.
Having said that, only real nerds would care and I bet it would lose you marks in GCSE exams.
