Car failed MIT on rear service brakes binding. Been told they just need cleaning. I have read you need to replace the Caliper guide bolts with new ones once removed. Is this true.

I have never replace guide bolts unless they are damaged. Use a little red grease to lubricate them or ceramic grease. I use red because I have red
