GPS syncronisation

Unread post by ADY-ULTRAS »

Hi guys! I noticed yesterday that the data on the display is 24.08.2099. I reset the data but when I check the gps syncronisitation box it goes back to 24.08.2099. Today I reset the system to factory settings but the problem persists, today I'm on 25.08.2099. Does anyone have any solution for this?

There is a known GPS synchronisation thing (that occurs every 19 years or so);

Hi, according to PSA the GPS week number rollover only affects the MyWay system.

It can be easily fixed by manually changing the year back to 2019, but you must also untick the ‘synchronise with GPS’ option.

In case anyone has a problem with their NG4, I had reason to disconnect the battery today, and on reconnecting my NG4 decided the date was 2099. I had to untick Synchronise and re-tick it, and then it seemed to be ok.

That's normal as synchronisation is by GPS - when you disconnect the battery (I hope you followed the correct procedure link below) the system resets and takes a while to calibrate and reinitialise.

Oh yes always (complicated somewhat with the battery being in the boot on my C5!)! I only noticed it as I have never had to do it before when disconnecting the battery - although maybe before I have left the car longer before driving it which has given the unit the time to initialise fully.
