Hi,
Please tell me what is total length of the oil probe for the 2.0hdi engine 2010 163HP.
If you can - orange plastic piece as well (length) - photo appreciated.
Tte plastic end(oil immersed) broken and I have to measure oil level urgently.

The critical measurement on dipsticks is the distance between the top of the dipstick tube (holder) and the High mark. This fixes the oil level in the sump. Handles and anything 'overall' best ignored.

Hi Greg,
Had the same problem with our 2013 C5 163 engine. searched Ebay for C5 Dipstick and a large number of them were displayed for sale.
If you can set yourself onto Citroen Technical, put in your particular car details, you can find the stock part number for the dipstick on your car. Use that OEM part number to assist in the search to identify the one for your car and you will find the measurements in the full description particularly the Febi brand, for your engine.

You need part number 1174G9, which is the replacement part number for the original dipstick for your engine (DW10CTED4).

I assume the bottom part has been lost.
What would happen if it broke of and dropped into the sump ?

That's where it will stay - Citroen used to remove them from the sump, but due to the high number of these happening they stopped bothering.
