It's between the battery and the body, not usually more than a foot long and usually bolts to the inner wing area. Why would it be under the seat? Why are you looking for the earth lead?

On the Xsara Picasso the battery is under the front passenger seat.

I think you already asked about earths a while back and I posted the locations of all the earths on your Picasso - please refer back to this post:

Yes Thank you very much for the earth points diagram, very very much appreciated, but it does not show very clearly where the main earth lead from the battery goes to the body, in the passenger compartment close to the battery. The main earth lead from the battery seems to dissappear........and its really involved removing the front carpet.

Whilst i have the car I wanted to catch up on some tlc maintenance and the main earth lead from the battery to the body was one of the items i could do with crossing off the list.

That's all there is I'm afraid. M000 is the battery earth, so looking at the nearest earthing points - it may be M45 or M56 (the left and right cross members) that are the earthing points, which would make sense being the nearest.

Thanks gmab, much appreciated, will have a real good look for the main earth and report back, as help to others.

Might you know the power supply requirements of the cam sensor, battery voltage, 12 v +, 5 V + OR 3 V +, OR MAYBE 2.5 V + ??????

Ok, for peoples info, the main earth lead attachment to the body is just in front of the battery earth connection but under the front carpet and more or less impossible to get to to clean etc. unless the front carpet is removed or lifted slightly, meaning front seats out at least. A pita!

If you take out the front carpet ( rear carpet, then rear passenger foot well/cuddy box false floor, then hand brake plastic, then front seats then front carpet/false floor after door upper trim and then lower trim removed, and gear stick area dutch oven. i hope to god all the very long torque bolt are not corroded badly, they are so so so long ), check for wet carpet foam and wet sound deadening foam, and water leaks !!

Whilst you are in that area attend to the many earth points visible.
