I don't believe the Welsh and Scots are quite as xenophobic and childish as "us" English, ergo, I don't think they'll give a hoot either way..

Don't count on it Mike - there's far more Welsh Dragons on plates here than 'Stars' from my own observations! :-D

Oh, I don't know. I know neither are keen on the English (and one can understand why from history!), but I don't see them being frankly obnoxious to other nationalities like the English can, and often are. There's nothing wrong with having your country's flag on your plate if you wish, it's just a shame the flag of St. George has been hijacked by the far-right cockwits. I *know* 99% of those who fly it are unlikely to be involved in such organisations, but it suffers through association with cockwits, much like Staffies and Subaru Imprezas!

I've got my 'stars' and an 'F' obviously, and if the 'stars' get outlawed in the UK I can keep mine,as my cars are Frenched RHDs. As for the Welsh and Scottish not liking the English, there are good and bad in all nationalities but English have got to be the most ignorant, self opinionated race I have ever come across. Family members have voted Brexit blaming the immigrants for taking all the jobs????? When I point out that we are immigrants, just not in the UK, they say 'Oh, but that's different'.
Bloke in the pub (or paper) told them, so it must be true!

Although I appreciate that there was a light-hearted element to the post above, please remember that in general, discussion of politics, including Brexit is forbidden on these forums, and any further postings of that nature will be deleted by the moderators.

I am English, born in Lancashire in the cotton mill area in the early 70s.

I agree with you 100%.

Some of my family members voted leave. I'm married to an immigrant for ****'s sake. How did they think I'd react?

AFAIK you can put whatever you like in that space and that's unlikely to change.

What was more annoying was having paid for the EU/GB plates so I didn't have to put an ugly sticker on the back, and not being able to use a magnetic one due to having a plastic tailgate, I then went to Switzerland where the plates are apparently not good enough so had to put up with a sticker for a week.
