Always like that. I went to see my brother there a few weeks ago. He wasn't home.
I almost went into town then thought better of it and came straight home again.

I wish! These days my creativity is almost zero and the best I can normally do with a blank canvas is just stare blankly at it
Best I can do..
Very welcome after a very chilly bike ride
I was full of beans after that

Perfect Jim! POTD really is that easy, it would be nice to have more than a handful of contributors, just lob anything up.

That's all right Jim, plenty of colour and contrast and gives you that warm feeling.

Gosh no!!! They are always very generous and I often bring home what's not used... I know at this time of the year it won't melt in my cycling jersey pocket...
This is my current collection
The other day I brought a jar of honey home in one of my jersey pockets...
In retrospect it was risky - had I suffered an accident it could have been very messy - in more ways than one...

POTD-Stairs and Tunnels
Greenwich is the place for stairs and tunnels
Number 1 the Tulip Stair in the Queens House-first self supporting spiral staircase in the UK

Number 2 The Greenwich Foot Tunnel

I like a foot tunnel under a river. Theres another one just along at Woolwich. Theres one under the Tyne at Jarrow. There must be a limited population of such things. My best guesses for others would be Glasgow or possibly Liverpool without looking them up.

I've been meaning to try the Jarrow tunnel for years. Another one yet to be ticked off.

Just in case a viewer from Cornwall pops along, here’s a Cornish Tunnel which was by passed when it was uneconomic to widen the horse drawn tramway to standard gauge. In 1874

While looking for a picture for a particular 11-year-old's birthday card, came across this...
It even has one of these in the bottom corner!
