New DS forum - proud owner of DS7 Crossback here

Post by Marve »

Hello all,

Good to finally see a DS forum. I couldn´t find it anywhere else.

I have a DS7 crossback since April 2018 and I am very happy about it. It drives great and especially the lights and the inside interior is more than excellent.

I would like to exchange experiences with other users.

Till soon.

Hi and welcome.

Although we don’t have many active DS owning members, hopefully we can build up some exchanges now we have a DS section. 👍

Hi,

DS Crossback Performance Line 1.6 petrol owner.

Great car, turns few heads on the street without being a show off! Very comfortable, satisfying and unique! Love it!

More information would be helpful, such as what retrofit options are there for tow bars, but hopefully this will become available as the car establishes on the UK market.

I am very happy with the car after the 5 months I have it now.
You get a very exclusive cars in that, at least around Barcelona, you don`t see any. It feels pretty cool that everybody knows it is you when they see your car, as there is no other DS7 driving around. Off course it also means it is not the best value car around, otherwise more people would buy it (If they knew it existed, for a starter..).

Morning, I have owned the DS7 Crossback since Nov 18 and love the car 1.6 225 Prestige, only issue I have is trying to get the right ladder snow chain to drive in the French Alps. I have the 235/50/19 wheel. DS have offered me a full set of wheels but that wont be of any use trying to put them on before driving up the mountain from Portsmouth....Would love to turn off stop and start function and also the lane following...as I have to do this every time I get in the car

Hello 2e1ilh,
I also have to get snow chains I guess, but haven´t searched yet. will keep you updated if I find anything.
Start Stop function: the only way I know is to put the aircon at MAX, then he cannot do the ¨stop¨ engine thing because he needs the energy. If course you freeze to death but he... ha ha.
My wishes go more to accepting whatsapp calls from the screen and getting spotify to start directly when I connect the bluetooth..
saludos,
Marc

Marve,

I have purchased the K-Summit K55 XL ladder chain and they fit perfect and well clear of the arch. I got them from www.snowchains.co.uk who also gave excellent service. Be aware though the wheel nut has a pretty silver cover over the nut and don't do what I did try and get the adaptor over the plastic cover...nutter I was. They auto select around the wheel after you drive about 10m down the road, then just check they are secure before driving off. It looks like I am going to need them in the French Alps over the next few weeks. But glad I got them, purchased Snow Socks first so have both now. Thanks for the " Stop Start" workaround, so will live with turning it off before...Preflight checks Land assist off, Stop Start Off....lol

Pressing this button should disable the system - but needs to be done at each engine start.

Seems a lot better than having the A/C on full all the time.

DS7 owner heated windscreen only seems to defrost a 50mm strip on the left of the windscreen, taken to DS dealer advised it’s a design fault and they will be back in touch with a repair option, has anyone else had the same issue?

Having studied the hand book it does advise that the heated windscreen heats the perimeter, on previous cars there was a small event throughout the screen I can not see anything like this only three wires. In the 50 mm strip that defrost.

Would like to hear from others

Regards

Hi all, new DS7 owner here.

Good to find this forum for like minded enthusiasts.

Based in West Sussex and have had mine since Christmas EVE (Happy Xmas ME), so far I haven't seen another on the road as yet.

Really love it and enjoying the drive, looking forward to the better weather and to have the sunroof open.

BognorBill, hello buddy will be giving mine a long run to the Alps on Sunday, will see if she as comfy as my old Tucson. I also have not seen any in Portsmouth apart from James the local DS dealer who drives a white one.
