What DOT brakefluid to use

Post by cornesoutafrica »

Hi everyone

Well since it is super hot in South Africa an the holiday season I have got time to do some work on my modern cars (and classics ofcourse).

I am doing all the fluids and attempting to do my c4 VTS cambelt. But thats another topic.

What I wanted to know is. The brakefluid for a 2001 c5 exclusive and a 2004 vts coupe. Can I use TOTAL DOT 4 plus synthetic brakefluid? Or is there something more suitable?

I doubt it was ever changed in these cars so better to do it ASAP..

Thanks in advance
Corne

DOT 4 seems to be the recommended fluid, so should be fine.

Ok. Thanks

Rather safe than sorry. The manual only gives a partnumber.
