Brake fault warning

Post by Badboybriands5 »

ESP/ASR fault & warning light
parking brake fault & waning light
hill assist fault & waning light
ABS fault and warning light
service fault & warning light
All of the above came on one day , lasted a day then went out. It only started to happen when I took a corner on a upward hill, That would start all the warning lights. A few days later the same happened again and this kept happening intermittently and now is on permanently. All braking/parking brake etc work fine except for the hill assist and auto brake release when accelerator is pressed which will not work but have to be used manually. No esp/asr etc. Could this be a faulty sensor? Has anyone else had similar? No engine management lights are on and as I have no power in my OBD I cant use a diagnostic tool.
I will have to book into local dealer after xmas if I cant solve this myself.

Probably a abs sensor will need to be on diagnostic to check though. Check fuse for obd connector.

Any idea where the fuse for OBD is? I am going to check all sensors for damage etc over xmas to see if there is anything that I can spot visually, if not it will have to dealer in new year, Thanks.

Problem solved. It turns out that after the specialist used diagnostics, the fault was a wheel speed sensor. They are part of the bearing so the whole unit had to be changed. All working OK now.
