Bah Humbug to supermarkets that stock way too many non-food items!
I swear, at least half the people (who bring a friend) in the shop are merely touring rather than shopping but end up "obligated" to buy something that's got a xmas themed label or wrapper on it, further delaying my food shop.

I did laugh at a group of chinese ladies inspecting all and everything they came across, thinking to myself "I bet you know someone that makes that junk"!

Mike, that's a shrewd observation and I made a similar one yesterday! I did enjoy all the Christmas songs being played in Tesco though :)

Christmas has come early for us where i now work, they have decided to splash the cash and get us top of the range TomTom Sat Navs with bluetooth so we can connect our phones and wifi so we can get the latest updates without taking them home to manually update them.
They said we were ungrateful when we handed them back unopened as they were not fit for purpose.
Not our fault we drive trucks and they bought car only ones #-o

Time to wake up this thread for its annual outing :)

I'm not Bah Humbug these days, far from it...

I'm happy today as I've been to an almost deserted Tesco at 6AM with four checkouts open and I've now got the entire Christmas thing done and dusted :D Bar a pot of clotted cream...

I've even filled Polly with Finest Shell Diesel, just in case the alleged unhappiness in the Red Sea compromises fuel deliveries and we see a return to forecourt silliness and lemming-like panic buying... Not that I'm going far... Christmas and travel never bodes well... Bah Humbug to that

Roll on the big day and a very happy Christmas one and all :) I will be timekeeping at parkrun on the big day before going to see the family, laden with presents...

I hear that they have been defrosting Mariah Carey. Buy some earplugs.

Re: fuel costs. The kids noticed when we went looking at cars that petrol was cheap. I filled up for £1.33/L

Usually do my christmas shopping on christmas eve when everyone else is done. Shops are empty apart from staff.
