CX 22 TRS acquired...

So, as per the title, I have somehow managed to acquire/save from the scrap person.
It's Florentine red, and in utterly rot free condition with the straightest panels I've ever seen on a CX! I'm planning to carry out light rolling restoration and hopefully sell on in the Spring. In the meantime......
1. The headlining and soft interior trim need doing. I THINK I can do this myself..
2 Pretty sure it needs a new main accumulator sphere
3 There's an odd exhaust blow/and, or induction noise that makes it sound like an Alfa Romeo..!
4 It's got NO grunt. Starts and idles and drives fine, but it hesitates when under load, I've already fitted new fuel lines and filter, my guess is the carb (what's one of those??!!) needs a strip and a clean
5 The central locking doesn't work
6 It needs a polish!
7 It's no GTI Turbo!!
Any thoughts, advice, offer to take it off my hands BUT ONLY to use and keep, it's FAR to good to scrap!

Email programmes have an automatic sizing part to get them down to size if you don't know or can't manage a different way.

Our forum now accepts large file size photos, and automatically resizes them!
Just Add Photo, slap in a title (if you want one), and Place in Line.

In the meantime, any thoughts on the above? Especially the rough/lilly livered running?

I think that we will need some more detailed symptoms before any useful diagnosis can be made.

I presume that this has some variety of Solex carburettor that is anything but Simple. If it were mine, I think that I would be carefully dismantling and cleaning the carburettor.

I ran CX's for 10 years, all diesel though, haven't run a petrol car since they had carburettors and distributors - and possibly dynamo's. Lovely cars though, never driven anything else like them, yours looks very nice.

I would think its likely that all the spheres could do with changing if it hasn't been running for a while. You should be able to bounce the corners with the engine running with about 3"- 4" movement at the front and 5"- 6" at the rear, the accumulator will almost certainly need changing.
