Well, there is a new wrinkle in the equation. I contacted Asus to see if there was anything they could do (such as communicate with the store to try and arrange for a replacement GPU), only to be told that they have received the card, and credited the store for such. I have asked Asus if the amount credited was for the full amount, or a percentage.

Right, so if it was the shop you were dealing with then that adds a different dimension to it - I will watch with interest to see what ASUS say about it and whether the shop has basically been doing the fobbing off bit or have genuinely offered you the same amount credited to them by ASUS!

Same here! My response to the store will now be dependant on what Asus tell me.
